The Souverän Stresemann is dedicated to the exterior minister of the Weimar Republic, Gustav Stresemann (1878 - 1929), who, together with the French Exterior Minister Aristide Briand, received the peace noble prize in 1926. Gustav Stresemann is not only known for his extraordinary political career, but also for the design of a suit named after him. The Stresemann suit consists of striped black and grey trousers and a single-breasted jacket in black or anthracite. The folk mouth has also named Stresemann the striped Souverän for decades, so Pelikan baptised the Souverän with elegant stripes made of anthracite on the name "Stresemann". Characteristic for this series is the striped shaft with its subtle stripes in anthracite. The decorative elements are finished with palladium. The piston fountain pen has a completely rhodium-plated 14-carat gold nib.
