Review "This is an absolutely gorgeous art book! Author and artist, Ginger Anne London, has also written a forthcoming novel series and the paintings and illustrations contained in this book flesh out the epic world of that upcoming series, Phoenix Undying. London has spent over a decade creating and crafting the world of Phoenix and it certainly shows! This book is amazing and I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys futuristic, dystopian sci-fi/cyberpunk/fantasy art and fiction. There are echoes of Blade Runner, Dune, Star Wars and even the old spaghetti westerns starring Clint Eastwood! The titular character, Phoenix, is an immortal badass who wears a cowboy hat and swills cactus whiskey while adventuring through a futuristic, dystopian desert encountering interesting characters and unique creatures. With each turn of the page, this book becomes more beautiful. It is also a more manageable size than a giant, hardcover coffee table book, which I appreciated. I have so many of those type art books. But they always stay on the shelf because they're too heavy and unwieldy to actually look at very much. Not this one though, it's a lightweight, high quality paperback filled with over 100 imaginative paintings in brilliant, beautiful colors that are so eye-popping and stunning, they leap right off the page! The size makes it seem all the more intimate an experience as well. You feel like you can take Phoenix and her world right along with you on your own journey of inspiration. The book is divided into five sections: "Characters", which spotlights each character from the book with beautiful, detailed art and gives a character description of each as told from the point of view of VeVe 2.0, the artificially intelligent operating system in Phoenix' gauntlet; "Aesthetics", which gives an overall feel for the setting and atmosphere; "Illustrations", which contains various paintings from the world of Phoenix; "Journals", which are pages out of Phoenix' own journals from her various travels as well as sketches she's made; and finally "Sketche
