Before scanning,please check the thickness of the position be detected is fit for detection. Detection depth and edge detection can vary due to moisture content of materials,wall texture,paint,etc.2. While calibrating, the device must not be placed directly over a stud, dense material such as metal, over a wet or newly painted area, it will not properly calibrate.3. Avoid placing your other hand, or any other part of your body on the surface being scanned, which will interfere with the performance of the scanner.4. Detector will not detect AC live wire from a shielded position. Take care when working near the electrical wires and always turn off the power supply.5. Hold the stud finder properly and move it slowly in one direction to obtain the optimum scanning results.
