The Tesa 51970 is a transparent double-sided tape consisting of a PP-film backing and a tackified adhesive. It features excellent combination of high tack and adhesion, secure bond even on critical materials such as PP an PE rough surfaces, and good temperature resistance and outdoor suitability. Main applications: mounting of plastic and wooden trims, mounting of decorative materials and displays, mounting of transparent signs and scales, mounting and bonding in the appliance industry. PP film backing material. Tackified acrylic adhesive. 150 percent elongation at break. 50 N/cm tensile strength. Glassine liner type. 71 micrometer thickness of liner. Brown liner. Adhesion to: steel (initial): 13 N/cm, ABS (initial); 11.3 N/cm; aluminum (initial): 10.2 N/cm; PC (initial): 12.3 N/cm; PE (initial): 5.4 N/cm, PET (initial): 9.9 N/cm, PP (initial): 6.8 N/cm, PS (initial): 11.8 N/cm, PVC (initial): 10.5 N/cm, steel (after 14 days): 13.5 N/cm, ABS (after 14 days): 14.4 N/cm, aluminum (after 14 days): 12.8 N/cm, PC (after 14 days): 15 N/cm, PE (after 14 days): 6.8 N/cm, PET (after 14 days): 12.5 N/cm, PP (after 14 days): 8.8 N/cm, PS (after 14 days): 13.4 N/cm, PVC (after 14 days): 17 N/cm. 130 degree C temperature resistance short term. 80 degree C temperature resistance long term.
