The Testo 0563 0104 waterproof folding food thermometer is a triple-range digital thermometer for use in monitoring temperatures in liquid, semi-solid, and paste food products, and for diagnostic measurements in medical applications. It can be set to measure temperatures according to the Fahrenheit, Celsius, or Rankine scales. It measures temperature from -58 to +527 degrees F (-50 to +250 degrees C) with an accuracy of + or - 0.9 degrees F (+ or - 5 degrees C) from -22 to +211.82 degrees F (-30 to +99.9 degrees C) and + or - 1.8 degrees F (+ or - 1 degree C) outside this range. The folding stem-style probe has a thermistor sensor in the penetration tip for taking measurements while immersed in liquid or semi-solid substances. It records the minimum and the maximum temperature readings. The automatic data hold feature records the final temperature reading for later review and recording. The rubber-coated thermometer body provides non-slip handling. The unit operates on two AAA batteries and turns off automatically after 60 minutes of non-use to conserve battery life. It has a low-battery indicator that signals when the battery needs to be replaced. This thermometer is Ingress Protection certified IP65 for dust and penetration by liquids and coolant up to the force of a low-pressure (to 30 kilonewtons/meter-squared) water jet. The European Conformity (CE) marking indicates compliance with applicable European Union (EU) directives.
