BradyGames' The Suffering Official Strategy Guide features a detailed walkthrough leading players through the horrific nightmare--no matter what ending they choose. Unstoppable boss strategies. In-depth bestiary. Complete item and weapon coverage. Game secrets revealed and more! BradyGames is Official and Exclusive on this title. Platform: PS2 & Xbox The Suffering is a third-person action/adventure game that captures the terrifying nature of the horror genre by alternating periods of intense exploration with frantic combat sequences. The game is set in the gritty world of a maximum-security prison. In this dark world, creatures jump out of shadows, fall out of trees, and erupt out of the ground, attacking players in the most frightening ways possible. Gamers control the prisoner Torque, a hardened inmate in his late 20s, sentenced to die for a murder he may or may not have actually committed. The game features nine terrifying levels, character morphing abilities that allow gamers to transform into a hideous and powerful creature, over 10 deadly weapons, a dozen monsters, and powerful boss monsters. In addition, there are intense graphics with blood splattering every level. Players can also interact with the criminals in the game and choose one of three distinct endings, depending on how they play the game. Not Final Cover.
