Description This TB Woods Type SF Sure-Grip quick disconnect bushing with a torque capacity of 11,000 in-lbs is made of cast iron and is used for mounting a quick disconnect pulley, sheave, or sprocket on a drive shaft. It is split through the flange and taper to provide strong clamping on the shaft. The bushing is made of cast iron for resistance to wear, galling, and corrosion. It is keyed to the shaft to prevent the shaft from rotating in the bushing, and it has a set screw over the keyway to help keep the key in place on vertical shafts and with vibrating loads. This quick disconnect bushing is used in automobiles, construction equipment, agricultural machinery, and home appliances, among others. Bushings are cylindrical parts used to mount pulleys, sheaves, sprockets, or other components to drive shafts for the transmission of mechanical power. Most bushings are split and have a tapered outside surface so they will clamp to the shaft when tightened against the tapered bore of the driven component.
