About Conserve Water -Gray Water (Bath Water) Garden Hose

The SiphonAid is a household device used to take bath/shower water outside for landscape watering. Captured bath water is a "grey water" like laundry water or rain water. Your bathtub is a potential rain barrel but one that is indoors and used daily when you have a SiphonAid. This handy tool provides the means to recycle your bath/shower water to be used for watering thirsty plants and trees outside. The user must have a bathtub to hold the bathing water, a bathroom window, a garden hose, nearby landscape vegetation and a desire to save water. To use: bring one end of a standard garden hose through the bathroom window and attach to the SiphonAid. Lay the first few feet of hose in the bathtub below water level. Next hold the SiphonAid firmly to the bathtub faucet and slowly turn on water forcing the faucet water through the hose. After water has been running for a brief time, approximately 5 to 15 seconds, there should be enough water now flowing downward outside to cause a siphon action when the SiphonAid and hose are quickly dropped into the tub of bath water. Turn off the faucet. The bathwater will be drawn to the outside to designated landscape watering area. Use according to local grey water codes in your area. There are no pumps involved. This all happens because of atmospheric pressure - a free power granted to you to use. A little practice and you will be siphoning to your happy garden. Learn more at the SiphonAid website.
