About Miller By Honeywell TurboLite Edge EXTREME Sharp

Sharp Edge Safety: Falls over an edge are more hazardous than other falls. Traditional lifelines risk being severed, and the force upon the worker in the event of a fall is significantly increased. Miller TurboLite Edge EXTREME Sharp Edge Personal Fall Limiters are specially designed to keep you safe while working in areas with sharp edges. New ANSI Z359. 14 LE (Leading Edge) standards stipulate protection for edge radius as sharp as 0. 005 in (0. 13 mm), an integral shock-absorber at the worker connection, and safety for users connected at foot level. Miller TurboLite Edge EXTREME PFLs meet all these requirements and more. They also boast a reduced fall clearance compared to a shock-absorbing lanyard, which makes them ideal for applications with limited fall clearance. A red indicator line gives a warning if the pin is not properly engaged. Disengagement requires pressing two buttons on the harness connector, each on a different plane requiring two distinct actions. This provides excellent protection against accidental disengagement. The galvanized cable and Vectran webbing (on T-BAK models) are highly resistant to abrasion, cutting, and caustic chemicals. Extreme Versatility: Miller Fall Protection's TurboLite Edge EXTREME Sharp Edge product line includes single and twin personal fall limiters to accommodate a wide variety of applications. Twin PFL models ensure 100% tie-off protection. T-BAK EXTREME Tie-back PFLs are also available for use in sharp edge tie-back applications. Working lengths run from 6-ft to 11-ft, with multiple steel and aluminum lifeline connector options from which to choose. All units feature a 420-lb (189 kg) weight capacity (including tools) for all connections down to foot level. Maximum Durability = Lower Cost of Ownership: The anodized aluminum unit connector provides excellent resistance to corrosion and abrasion, and the nylon housing is high-impact resistant. The entry-guide bushing is made of an oil-impregnated composite to protect the lifeline and housing from wear. All of these features combine to extend the service life of the PFL and lower the cost of ownership. Comfort, Mobility Ease-of-Use: The lightweight housing and edge connector reduces worker fatigue, and the one-click pin connection allows for quick, easy installation without the need to attach any additional straps. The free-floating shock absorber acts as a pad between the unit and the worker to promote cooler air flow, comfort and wear ability. The free-floating unit connector and swivel design allow for excellent maneuverability and prevent the lifeline from twisting. An optional Back D-Pad clip is included which is highly effective in preventing slippage while providing easier connection to the safety harness. Cost-Effective: An Ultra-High Frequency RFID allows for easy and efficient asset and inspection tracking. All TurboLite Edge EXTREME Sharp Edge Personal Fall Limiters are compatible with all Miller Safety Harnesses without any add-ons. No cumbersome straps to attach to the harness or special connectors are required for different harness sizes or configurations. Also, If one unit of a twin model is damaged, the product can be sent into Honeywell for replacement.
