About Stoneware Spoon Rest In Glossy White Glaze
This spoon rest is wheel thrown in a speckled brown stoneware clay and glazed in a glossy opaque white glaze. It is a nice glaze that allows lots of the speckles from the clay to come through. There is a spiral design pressed into it as it is thrown. Ordinarily I smooth out spirals in the base of my work but the spiral looks really good on a flat functional piece like this. It has a smooth little notch for the handle of your utensil to rest on. The spoon rest is 4 7/8 inches wide and 7/8 inch tall. Fired to cone 5 in an electric kiln. Food and dishwasher safe.
