About Yoshihiro Nigiri Hasami
The Nigiri Hasami is a Japanese Style Sewing Snip. These scissors does not have a hinge like its Western counterparts. In fact, historically these kinds of scissors were the first types to be used around the world, and although it is no longer utilized by many people, it has seen continuous used within Japan. This Nigiri Hasami is handcrafted with extraordinary skill by master artisans using High Carbon White Steel #2, the same type of steel used in high-end Yanagi knives by sushi chefs. Its edges are razor sharp and is highly suitable for detailed work. It is designed to make small, precise cuts without damaging adjacent material with its durable edge and smooth motion. *the metal is susceptable to rust if it is left wet.
