About White Irises On Blue
Serigraph of white irises on a powder blue background by the American artist Lowell Blair Nesbitt (1933 - 1993). Displaying a realist almost photorealist combination of shadows and highlights on the flowers in cool tones of blue and white. Signed and numbered in pencil by the artist from an edition of 200. Mr. Nesbitt was best known for gargantuan images of irises, roses, lilies and other flowers, which he often depicted in close-up so that their petals seemed to fill the canvas.
