About Winford Engineering VHDCI
Use these VHDCI Male-Male cables to interconnect equipment which utilizes 68-pin VHDCI (Very High Density Cable Interconnect) connectors. These attractive cables feature 68-pin VHDCI male connectors on each end, metal connector hoods, twisted pair wiring, and a shielded cable jacket. All wiring is straight through (Pin1-Pin1, Pin2-Pin2, etc). The connector hoods are of an 'offset' design, conserving space and allowing two cables to be plugged in very near each other (aka 'stackable'). Cables are constructed with 30 AWG twisted pair, shielded wire. VHDCI connectors utilize sliding ribbon contacts instead of standard pins and provide a highly compact arrangement of contacts; conductor pitch is 0.8 mm. VHDCI connectors are also known as Very High Density Connector Interfaces. Typical applications include data acquisition devices, test equipment, and PC accessories.
