Smoke Grey Polycarbonate Clear Plastic Sheet 12" X Features

  • Translucent Smoke Grey Plastic Sheeting: Polycarbonate / Polycarb (also known as Makrolon) for use around the home, workshop, car, and in the VEX Robotics Competition. Tinted sheet is great for thermo forming with semi-transparent plastic! Superior in usability to glass sheets or Plexiglas.

  • Shatter resistant sheet, easy to cut, drill, bend, and thermoform. Use simple tools like snips or hacksaws to cut and standard drill bits without cracking or fracturing. Simple to bend with a heat gun, may also be cold-bendable. Thermoformable, often used for vacuum molding.

  • Smoked gray polycarbonate panes are sold under a number of brands including Perspex, Makrolon, Tuffak, Spartech, Palram, Gallina. Better workability than Clear Acrylic Plexiglass sold as Lucite, Plexiglas, Perspex, etc.

  • Includes an individual 12x18" CNC precision square & straight cut sheets of 1/16" (0.060 inch, approx 1.5mm/1.6mm) thick Polycarbonate. Exact size sheet is precisely 12x18", unlike other nominal sheets that can be up to 1/4" smaller than specified. Accurate square & straight cut sheet of 1/16" (0.060 inch, approx 1.5mm/1.6mm) thick Polycarbonate. 1 foot by 1.5 feet, 1/16 inch (0.06 inches) thick.

  • Smoked grey plastic sheet color is semi transparent and provides a beautiful look with some light transmittance and a good mix between visibility and privacy. Translucent shaded poly sheet, equivalent to grey smoked tinted plexiglass.

About Smoke Grey Polycarbonate Clear Plastic Sheet 12" X

Description Smoke gray polycarbonate is a superior translucent or semi-transparent plastic sheet compared to Plexiglass/Acrylic Sheets can easily be cut, milled, and drilled with any standard tools (hacksaw, jigsaw, snips for thin sheets, standard drill bit, etc.) without the cracking or fracturing you would find in Plexiglass. Additionally, Polycarbonate can be bent neatly. Thin sheets can be bent cold with sheet metal techniques, while thicker ones are easy to shape with the help of a heat gun. It is also perfect for thermoforming or vacuum forming. This makes Polycarb perfect for both DIY and professional projects around the home, shop, or for manufacturing. EXACT Dimensions Unlike most Polycarbonate sheets sold by others and cut to a nominal size up to 1/4" smaller than indicated, Robosource's sheets are custom manufactured to exact dimensions, so you always get the same size you ordered. Shatter Resistant & Strong Polycarbonate has great mechanical properties, making it often considered as a safer option than glass sheets or acrylic sheets. Tensile Stress: 63 MPa. Flexural Stress: 90 MPa. Rockwell Hardness, R: 120 Brand Name Quality All of Robosource's Polycarbonate sheets are custom manufactured from 100% virgin polycarbonate resin. Electrical Resistance Volume Resistivity: > 1.0E15 Ohm-cm Protective Film on BOTH SIDES This product is shipped with a thin protective film on both sides. Please peel this off to expose the smoked sheet. You can mark onto this film while working with the material, then remove it to expose a pristine surface.
