S5! makes a variety of clamps for use on metal roofs. Installation involves tightening the included ‘bullet-nosed’ set screws onto the standing seam for a firm grip. The set screws compress the metal seam material against the opposite side of the clamp wall and will dimple the seam material but not penetrate it. The threaded hole on top of the S5! clamp allows for the attachment of a variety of items to the clamps. The S5S sold here is designed to affix on standing seam metal roofs with a seam no wider than .540”. Other clamps are available. Consult your metal roof manufacturer to find out what clamps are best for your application. The S5 sold here is the most commonly used clamp for the attachment of heat cable and heat tape to standing seam metal roofs and should ONLY be used with the S5-SR clip (sold separately) to hold heat cable in position. The S5-SR is the only clip in the world designed specifically for use with the S5 in heat cable and heat tape applications on standing seam metal roofs. The S5S manufacturer, Metal Roof Innovations, warrants that all S-5! products to be free from defects in material and workmanship on the date of sale by an authorized MRIL distributor to the original purchaser. As purchaser’s sole remedy for breach of this warranty, MRIL will, for a period of twenty-five (25) years after the date of sale, repair or replace any part of the S-5! manufactured product which is defective. This warranty applies only when the S-5! product is properly installed, used and maintained.
