The Castelli Velocissima 2 Woman’s knicker is great for long, endurance, pre-season base rides. The Endurance Evolution fabric keeps a woman cyclist warm and supports her muscles by applying the mild compression needed to stimulate blood flow and speed recovery. Besides keeping a rider warm, the fabric allows air to circulate so sweat dries instantly. By allowing air to circulate within the fabric, the knickers will keep a woman warm, but she won’t overheat. Treated with a matte finish, the bib-shorts support a woman on the bike and they help to make her look great. Comfort has been considered in the design of even the smallest details. At the leg endings, Castelli used a raw-cut edge with vertical silicone strips that keep the shorts in place without creating the “sausage” effect. The woman’s-specific KISS Air² seat pad is designed for a woman’s body as she is leaned over the bike. A woman has wider hip bones so Castelli took women’s anatomy into account in the design of the seat pad. More air has been added to the pad which makes it more breathable.
