Anchoring security for cruising sailors! Find deep water easily from your tender. We have imported this unique, Japanese-made portable sonar depth sounder for more than 10 years. It is very accurate and since it floats, its high visibility case makes it easy to find if dropped overboard. In addition to recreational use by boaters, scuba divers and ice fishermen, it is commonly used by coastal surveyors, bridge maintenance workers and scientists. Anchoring security for cruising sailors! Find deep water easily from your dinghy. This unique pocket-sized depth sounder is very accurate and of very high quality. It is useful for boating, fishing, scuba diving, coastal survey, and scientific work. Features: Reads in Feet or Meters, to the nearest tenth through a solid hull, inflatable bottom, or black ice. This is an extremely accurate unit when used properly. 400 kHz with 6 beam angle Reads from 2 feet to 250 feet Each reading is backlit and stays displayed for ten seconds. Simply put the head in the water, or against the solid hull of a boat. Sonar will not read through air. Note: Depthsounders manufactured prior to 2001 cannot be converted.
