Survitec McMurdo Smart find E5 406 EPIRB (Emergency Position Indicating Rescue Beacon). Category I (automatic release). Transmits personalized coded signal to search-and-rescue satellites on 406 MHz, which is routed to appropriate rescue authorities. Also transmits a homing signal on 121.5 MHz, and has a strobe light for better visibility at night or in poor weather conditions. Includes mounting bracket with hydrostatic release and registration forms. The unit is GMDSS compliant and has comprehensive diagnostic and self-test functions.
