Brainchild Martin Atkins enlists friends like Trent Reznor, Skinny Puppy growler Ogre, KMFDM's En Esch, the Jesus Lizard's David Yow and others for a twisted jam session, giving them sanctuary from commercial restraints on his own label, Invisible. This sometimes results in useless cacophony (Atkins, a drummer, spends most of his time with Ministry's Bill Rieflin, another drummer), but at its best Gub spews out classics like the Trent Reznor-sung "Suck," which he later covered on Nine Inch Nails' EP Broken. --Liisa Ladouceur
