About Quicksilver Anthology

Product Description Quicksilver Messenger Service were one of the first Bay Area rock acts that helped usher in the progressive /acid rock movement. With its core line-up of David Freiberg, Dino Valenti, Greg Elmore, Gary Duncan, Nicky Hopkins & John Cipollina, this amazing band delivered many fine recordings during their successful reign. Out of print for years, it is with great honor to announce the 1st time 180 Gram Audiophile Vinyl release of their classic Capitol Records release Quicksilver Anthology. 16 tracks, 2 LP 180 G Set. First 1000 copies include the silver embossed Quicksilver logo album cover. Review I love this band, and it was my true wish to re-issue this wonderful anthology for the first time in the audiophile vinyl domain medium for our friends and fans of Quicksilver. I grew up in Philly and caught the late great Dino Valenti and Co. do a very heavy show at the Tower Theatre in Upper Darby, PA.....I think I was in the eighth grade....and they were so loud, righteous and rockin' the house way into the early morning hours. They changed the way alot of us listen to music and influence rock and rollers to this day and beyond! Revisit San Francisco classics like Fresh Air, What About Me, Dino's Song and of course the12 + minute acid rock classic The Fool are all captured once again on vinyl with this great new release......we even recreated the cover for a very limited run with the silver ink that was used on the older 1973 editions. Enjoy this wonderful American band once again! --Joe Reagoso- Reissue Producer and Mastering Engineer
