About the Author Della Ata Khoury holds a Master of Regional Economics and Social Development, a bachelor’s degree in Political Science, and a bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, all from the University of Massachusetts in Lowell. Della supplemented her education with practical experience, working as a hospital pharmacy technician for 12 years. In 2001, she obtained her national pharmacy certification through the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB), becoming one of the earliest certified technicians in Massachusetts. In 2010, Della moved on to instructing pharmacy technician programs at the LARE Institute in Andover Massachusetts (a branch of American Training) and Lincoln Technical Education in Somerville, Massachusetts. Della has taught for more than 5 years and has presented several continuing education topics specific to pharmacy technicians at national and state conferences.
