Kicklighter was a nationally known educator and the author of several books in the fields of architecture, drafting, and construction technology. He held a variety of industrial, teaching, and administrative positions and retired as dean and professor at the School of Technology at Indiana State University. He held the highest leadership positions in the National Association of Industrial Technology (NAIT). Dr. Kicklighter was awarded the respected Charles Keith Medal for exceptional leadership in the technology profession. Timothy L. Andera is a Professor at South Dakota State University in Brookings, South Dakota. During the tenure at SDSU, he has served as the Coordinator of Career and Technical Education in the College of Education & Human Sciences and is currently a Safety Consultant in the College of Engineering. Dr. Andera received his doctorate in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Construction from Illinois State University, Normal, Illinois. His master's degree from Bemidji State University is in Industrial Technology with an emphasis in Construction. He received bachelors' degrees in Vocational Education and Industrial Technology in Construction from the University of South Dakota in Springfield, South Dakota. Dr. Andera has served as the Director of Education and Safety at Associated Builders and Contractors in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He taught Construction Management at Illinois State University, overseeing courses in Architecture, Construction, Scheduling, and Masonry, as well as coordinating the On-Site Construction Project. Dr. Andera oversaw the Residential Construction Program at Ellsworth College in Iowa Falls, Iowa, where students built a brick veneered residential home each year. Dr. Andera has presented nationally and internationally on construction and safety topics. He is a consultant on construction projects related to the masonry industry and construction in general.
