The grid lines are gray so that you are able to distinguish pencil work with ease Precise 5 squared per inch grids Soft matte cover (comes in aqua, red, and green colors) What is quad-ruled notebook or quad paper? Similar to graph paper, the quad-ruled paper has horizontal and vertical lines that are evenly spaced over the entire page. It differs in that in graph paper, every tenth or fifth line is bolded, whereas in the quad paper it is not. Quad paper is normally used in math to assist in keeping numbers in columns when doing mathematical operations, whereas graph paper is more useful for drawing and plotting graphs. “Quad” and “graph” are commonly incorrectly used interchangeably in notebooks, so make sure you take a look at the actual grid paper to ensure you are getting the notebook that meets your needs.
