I bought this book for my mother. She loves cryptograms, but many books have too small of a font or not enough room to work out the cryptos themselves. She loved this book from the get-go! The formatting is excellent - I think she's going to tell me to scram so she can start working on the puzzles! This is a great find for those who enjoy cryptograms! It has quotes ranging from Lincoln, Edison, Nelson Mandela, and George Washington to to Dale Carnegie and even Tiger Woods. I would recommend buying one for your grandmother, and especially with Large Print. I am going to recommend it to teachers in the nearby school, too, because it would bring up some great questions about the person who was quoted. I'm definitely keeping my eye out for more books by Jack Merrin, who by the way has a Ph.D. in physics from Princeton.
