With degrees in English, French, and TESL, and a PhD in English and Education, Dr. Gorea hastaught Academic English, English as a Second Language, EnglishLiterature, and Language and Culture courses in universities and colleges in Canada, the United States and Europe. Lucia is the author of several articles and books, including ESL Gamesand Classroom Activities, Welcome to America! A Practical Guide to Life Survival Skills, and Journey Through My Soul, a collection of love and mystical poems. She has performed readings and has given lectures in Canada and the U.S., and has made many television appearances on Rompost TV, Channel M. Lucia is a certified translator with the Canadian Translators, Terminologists and Interpreters and the founder and host of "Poetry Around the World", a multicultural poetry group. Lucia's biographical profile is included in Who's Who of American Women, Who's Who in American Education, International Who's Who of Professional and Business Women, and Marquis Who's Who encyclopedias. Lucia has two manuscripts in print and is currently working on her first novel. She lives with her family in Vancouver, Canada, and teaches English and Intercultural Communication courses at the University of British Columbia.
