About Delta Lightning AC Surge Arrestor - For 120/240 VAC
To protect against surges coming from your well equipment to your service panel (say due to a lighting strike at your well equipment), connect the black wires to the 2-pole breaker which feeds power to the pump. You can also connect it at the well equipment if there is a service panel and breaker for the well equipment there. Delta lightning arrestors have a maximum current rating of 60,000 amps and 2,000 joules per line. 3 wire (2 hot (L1 & L2 black) and 1 neutral/ground (white)), single phase, 18" leads. Connect to the load side of of fuses/breakers. Response time is 25 ns to clamp 50,000 amps. Mounts easily in a 1/2" knockout. The AC versions can be mounted in your AC load center to protect 120/240 VAC equipment and on AC wiring running outside of the building, to generators, pumps or outbuildings.
