About Dormer A09718 General Purpose Jobber Drill

The Dormer A097 variable-length, TiN-tipped, general-purpose, round-shank drill bit set, offers a set of drills to drills holes into a wide variety of metals and synthetic materials. It can drill to a depth up to four times the diameter of the drill size. The shank diameter is the same as the drill size. The A097 series has a type N flute form, with a regular helix (21 to 34 degrees) angle and with a special Dormer PS point geometry which offer easier workpiece penetration, improved hole size, and accurate centering when starting the hole. The TiN finish is a gold-colored ceramic coating that is hard and has low friction, permitting faster cutting speeds than uncoated materials. The jobber length offers a good compromise between reach and rigidity.
