About 3M Roloc Disc 361F - 24 Grit Aluminum Oxide

Product Description 3M Roloc Disc 361F offers a quick-change attachment and provides durability and high performance for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing on all metals. Fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains are bonded to the heavyweight cloth backing with durable, heat-resistant resin that supports both wet and dry applications. From the Manufacturer The 3M™ Roloc™ Disc 361F TR consistently provides convenience and high performance for grinding, blending, deburring, and finishing on all metals. The quick and easy Roloc™ attachment system works with your Roloc™ disc pads to make changing discs as easy as a short twist to remove the disc, and a short twist to attach the next disc. Fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains are bonded to the YF-weight cloth backing with durable, heat-resistant resin. The discs can be used wet or dry. 3M Roloc TR quick change discs are smaller discs that have a plastic threaded button or screw designed to easily and quickly attach to a Roloc TR disc pad (sold separately) so that operators can conveniently change discs with a simple twist-off, twist-on motion. The Roloc TR system provides a secure attachment even for heavy-duty applications, and the variety of available 3M Roloc discs allows swapping from one application to the next in seconds. Each TR attachment button is also color-coded to identify its grade, making it easy to grab the grade required for different applications. Aluminum oxide mineral is a popular choice among industrial professionals because of its fast cut-rate and long life. This mineral makes a tough, durable abrasive that self-fractures to expose fresh cutting edges in use, whereas traditional abrasives such as garnet quickly wear down with use. Due to their fast cut-rate, hardness, strength, and low heat retention, they are widely used in grinding applications in addition to sanding and finishing applications. Aluminum oxide is suitable for a wide variety of materials in both woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. Heat-resistant resin is a sturdy binding agent that adheres the abrasive to the backing and maintains the stability of the bond even in conditions of high heat or pressure. Cloth-backed discs are known for their durability and flexibility. They're a good first choice when working with metal or for heavy wood stock removal. For more than a century, 3M has applied innovation and technology to improving our customers’ lives and supporting their business goals. Today the company, from its headquarters in St. Paul, Minnesota, serves industrial and commercial customers and consumers in nearly 200 countries.
