A hard worker by nature, Peter Sam seldom grumbles about late hours or extra work. Peter Sam was actually known as Stuart, but was changed when he came to Sir Topham Hatt's Railway. He is based on a Kerr, Stuart & Co. Ltd. 0-4-2ST narrow gauge engine. Bachmann carefully reproduces your favorite Thomas & Friends characters. Narrow Gauge Thomas & Friends products are HO models that run on N gauge track. All Thomas and Friends Narrow Gauge locomotives feature electric drive mechanisms, highly detailed Die Cast construction, all-metal wheels, and narrow gauge hook and loop couplers. A narrow-gauge railway is one where the spacing between the rails is less than the standard (4 ft 8 1⁄2 in) spacing found on typical railroads.
