Jointed Arm and Clamp Systems At Beneath the Surface (BtS) our design team philosophy is simple. Create the best functioning product, make it out of the finest materials available and then test it repeatedly in the environment continually refining it to ensure that it stands up to the rigors of the underwater realm. Our stainless steel balljointed arm sets, with their aluminum alloy clamps do just that. BtS arms and clamps outperform all others and are the best arm set value on the market today. Arm Features and Benefits: Streamlined/Low Drag tubular stainless steel design allows them to have the smallest surface area of any arm. Lightweight BtS arms are lightweight due to their smaller profile and hollow core. They are perfect for the traveling diver. High strength manufactured of 304 stainless steel tubing, BtS ball jointed arms are much stronger and more durable than aluminum alloy arms. The hard anodized, 6061 aluminum ball ends are pressed on at 5000 psi, then the ends are sealed with stainless steel cap screws. We use the toughest rubber o-rings available. Ethylene propylene diene monomer (EPDM) M class, rubber O-rings. They withstand the shear forces and friction between ball end and clamp better than any other arm clamps. BtS arm clamps offer stronger hold and better arm retention because of their specially beveled cut, which increases the contact area between ball and clamp. They do not require extreme clamp tension like some arms to maintain arm position. Finger tight is all you’ll need. Easy to Maintain he same as your dive gear just rinse and soak in fresh water after use. We can proudly say that all of our products are 100% made and assembled here in the USA. These arms arm machined from 6061 solid aluminum round bar, they are then assemble the same as our stainless steel arms. These arms are even lighter than are stainless arms by more than a 1/2 ounce and will not reflect light underwater.
