About the Author Steven J. Kronowitz, MD FACS, Kronowitz Plastic Surgery, Houston, Texas, USA is a member of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons; American Association of Plastic Surgeons; American Society of Reconstructive Microsurgery; American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons; and is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons. He serves on the editorial board of both Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery – Global Open. John R. Benson, MA DM (Oxon) MD (Cantab) FRCS (Eng) FRCS (Ed), Consultant Breast Surgeon at Addenbrooke’s Hospital Cambridge; Fellow of Selwyn College Cambridge; and Visiting Professor, Anglia Ruskin School of Medicine, Cambridge. He won First Prize in the Oncology Section of the BMA Medical Book Awards (2013) and is widely published in the field of breast diseases. He is a former member of the Planning Committee for the San Antonio Breast Cancer Symposium (2013–2015) and a member of the review panel for ASCO guidelines. Maurizio B. Nava, PhD, qualified from the University of Milan in 1977 and received accreditation in oncology in 1980 and general surgery in 1986. He was Director of the Plastic Surgery Department at the Istituto Nazionale dei Tumori in Milan from 1997 until 2014, and currently holds the post of Adjunct Professor at the Universities of Milan and Genova. Since 2016, Dr. Nava has been Honorary President of G.RE.T.A (Group for Reconstructive and Therapeutic Advancement) that promotes international collaboration in the field of oncoplastic and aesthetic breast surgery and the exchange of ideas with patients. Dr Nava coordinates the biennial Milan Oncoplastic Breast meeting and is a member of several organizations including the European Society of Surgical Oncology (ESSO) and the European Society of Breast Cancer Specialist (EUSOMA).
