Neoprene acoustical cup and base plate for minimizing noise and vibration and providing a non-skid surface
Heavy-duty steel spring for absorbing shock and supporting loads
Horizontal stiffness of spring is equal or higher than vertical for protection against falling over
Two bolt holes on base for rigid mounting
This Mason SLFH-A-45 spring mount vibration isolator supports machinery to reduce structurally transmitted noise and vibration. The acoustical spring cup is made of Neoprene for a non-skid surface and for minimizing noise and vibration, and the neoprene base plate provides a non-skid surface so that no bolting is necessary. The cup secures a heavy-duty steel spring for absorbing shock and supporting loads. The horizontal stiffness of the spring is equal to or higher than the vertical stiffness to protect against falling over, so no housing is necessary for the mount. Two bolt holes are provided on the base plate if rigid mounting to the floor or support is necessary. A cap screw and adjustment bolt are provided for attachment and leveling. This spring mount vibration isolator is suitable for use on belt-driven fans and motors, suction pumps, air handling equipment, and compressors or vacuum pumps. Shock absorbers, vibration damping mounts, and vibration damping pads can extend equipment life and help protect work environments, and they are most commonly used in heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems or in other large machinery operations. Weight distribution determines the number of mounts or pads needed. If evenly distributed, the maximum load capacity per mount or pad should equal the total weight of the machine divided by the number of mounting points available. Mason Industries manufactures noise reduction, vibration isolation, and seismic restraint control products such as mountings, hangers, and flexible connectors for mechanical equipment. The company, founded in 1958, is headquartered in Hauppauge, NY.
