This student viola is handmade featuring a carved spruce top with flamed maple sides, back and neck. The varnish is a warm rich brown. Ebony fittings with four fine tuners. Set up with D'Addario Prelude strings. Includes a Meisel bow and Oblong lightweight nylon case with hygrometer. This Viola exemplifies professional workmanship and design. Shop-adjusted by an experienced Luthier prior to shipment to meet MENC specifications. 15" Viola is suitable for a 10-12 Year old child (Or small adult). Players arm length should be 24.5". The measurements of the 15" size viola are as follows: Length (Body 15") with a bow length of 29.25" Includes lightweight viola case with hygrometer and Meisel bow. Fingerboard position marking dot stickers for beginning string players. Designed to assist beginning violin players. Great teaching tool! The Fish Bow Hold provides an easy and safe introduction to an excellent bow hold & the Red Crab is a colorful fun Shoulder rest that will make practice time fun.
