The Talboys 945620 Digital Pulsing Vortex Mixer has variable speed of 500 to 3,000rpm for gentle shaking to rapid vortexing of samples; can be operated by touch, in continuous mode, or in pulse mode for cell disruption; and has a timer with a range of one second to 160 hours. Pulsing action reduces heat generation while optimizing mixing and disruption. The timer shows elapsed time in continuous mode, or can be programmed with a defined mixing time to shut off the unit when the timer reaches zero. This mixer comes with a cup head for mixing a single test tube; a 3" (76mm) diameter platform with rubber cover for mixing a beaker, a flask, or multiple tubes; and a 12-slot holder for 1.5mL to 2mL microtubes. Additional interchangeable mixing heads (sold separately) are available for holding various tubes, microplates, and vessels. The mixer has electronic controls with an LED display that shows speed and time for accurate, repeatable results, and its microprocessor control provides uniform mixing action.
