About Colder NS6D22006 Polypropylene Tube

The Colder insert is made of polypropylene and has insert and barbed connectors. It has one or more ribs for creating a tight seal and connects tubing in a straight run. It is a shutoff fitting with an insert coupler on one end and barbed construction on the other, and is used for connecting two tubes in an inline configuration. This fitting is made of polypropylene, which resists most chemicals, has dimensional stability, and can be sterilized. The working pressure for this fitting is up to 120 pounds per square inch (psi). The operating temperatures range from 32 to 160 degrees F. Pipe and tube fittings are components used for connecting, terminating, controlling flow, and changing the direction of piping in many different industries. Barbed fittings are characterized by the presence of angled barbs that grab and hold on the inner diameter (ID) of a hose. They are designed so that hose is easily mounted over the fitting, but is difficult to remove. When purchasing fittings, consider the application, as this will affect material type, shape, size, and required durability. Fittings are available threaded or unthreaded, in many shapes, styles, sizes, and schedules (pipe wall thickness). Colder Products Company manufactures quick-connect couplings, fittings, and connectors for plastic tubing. The company, founded in 1978, is headquartered in St. Paul, MN.
