Pennington Aquagarden Awesome Pond Pods are an easy-to-use solution for some of the most common and frustrating pond problems. With this product, we have answered the age-old problems that pond-keepers face, in just one product. Issues such as: Filter maintenance, Pond sludge, using tap water and the struggle maintain a healthy and balanced ecosystem within your pond. The soluble pouches dissolve, releasing the gentle active ingredients, getting straight to work to help maintain your pond. The Awesome Pond Pods are designed to work in conjunction with the Pennington Aquagarden Awesome Pond Clean Hands System and fit directly into the Pod Dosing chamber, so that they get to work directly with your filter. Using the Awesome Pods with the Awesome Pond Clean Hands Systems will help introduce bacteria and enzymes directly to the waste in the oxygen rich filter chamber, helping to reduce filter cleaning and pond sludge. We also recommend using the Awesome Pond Pods in conjunction with a Pennington Aquagarden Inpond pond pump and filter for exceptional results. However, Awesome Pond Pods are also suitable for 'direct to pond' use and with other filter systems. Due to the gentle and natural way Awesome Pond Pods work within the pond ecosystem, results will be most effective when used over a consistent period of time and are not an 'overnight' solution. Pond sludge reduction should become apparent within a month of starting treatment. For long-term effectiveness, usage should begin when temperatures reach 50ºF - and continued monthly until daily temperatures drop below 50ºF. This dosing schedule will maintain a clean and healthy pond and reduce filter maintenance throughout the pond season. One Awesome Pond Pod can treat up to 150 gallons of water. Add the required dose to your pond and then repeat the dose after weeks from the initial dose. Then, dose monthly or as and when required. If using the Awesome Pond Pods as part of general maintenance / water changes, always add the Awesome Pond Pod prior to topping up with tap water.
