About One Pound (1 Lb, 16 Oz) Raw, Natural Scrap Cholla
This listing is for one pound (16 Oz) of cholla wood. Pictures are stock photos, but are representative of the pieces you will receive. Packaged in 8 x 6 x 4 inch box with one full pound of cholla. Lengths vary from 1/2"- 8" in length. This cholla is raw and has imperfections and you should not expect whole, perfect pieces. Some pieces are broken, have rough edges, cut at weird angles, brittle, etc.-we consider this our "scraps" from our standard cutting lengths. This cholla was collected from Southern Nevada in a natural (no chemicals used in the area, etc) area. It has not been treated in any way. We do dust off loose dirt/debris and cut off sections that are too brittle. No thorns!! Cholla is great for a variety of things--reptiles, hermit crabs, chinchillas, rabbits, aquariums, pleco, shrimp, birds, crafts, air plants, creating biofilm...the list goes on! Just know that when you buy from me--I would never send you anything that I would not personally use in my own setup. **Since cholla comes from the great outdoors, each piece will be unique--so various coloring, knots, curves, etc. should be expected.** THIS STEP IS OPTIONAL AND DONE AT BUYERS DISCRETION: To prepare the wood before placing in an aquarium or pet habitat, boil it or soak it in hot water to remove any native soils that may be present, reduce excess tannins and to make the wood sink. The time will vary in regards to how long this process will take-it could be hours, it could be weeks, everyone has different results. THIS PRODUCT MAY CHANGE AQUARIUM WATER COLOR AND/OR ALTER WATER PARAMETERS--PLEASE RESEARCH CHOLLA USE FOR YOUR SPECIFIC APPLICATION TO SEE IF THESE CHANGES ARE DESIRABLE.
