We recommend using Aorkuler in open outdoor environments, placing the tracker on the dog's back, ensuring the right side is facing up. 2. Do you need cell service for this to work? Use both devices of the GPS tracker for dogs in an open outdoor environment, fixing the tracker on the dog’s back with the front side facing up. 3. Battery life? While traditional dog GPS tracker collar use intermittent positioning, our dog tracker no cellular maintains a real-time tracking mechanism, usually supporting over 8 hours of continuous use, similar to GPS navigation on smartphones. However, a weak GPS signal may reduce the operating time due to higher power requirements. 4. The controller doesn’t get past “GPS updating” mode? Use both tracker and controller in an open outdoor environment. When the two devices are at a similar distance, they connect via Bluetooth, and the controller screen displays "Nearby." During this, GPS is turned off to conserve power. As the devices move apart, the Bluetooth connection disconnects, and the system automatically activates the radio and GPS. The controller then displays "GPS updating." Once the two devices are successfully positioned and connected through the radio, the controller screen shows the relative direction and distance of the tracker.
